Extensive range of anniversary articles now available
Play mat, hoodies, manhole covers and more in anniversary design for the home
Further anniversary articles are now available at the Gütersloh Marketing tourist information office (Berliner Straße 63). With the Gütersloh play mat from milkids, children can playfully explore the city of Gütersloh. Well-known buildings such as the city library and the theater can be integrated into the game. This special project was initiated and organized by the Department of Culture and is one of the 200 highlights of the anniversary. The carpet, which has been tested for harmful substances in accordance with Oeko-Tex 100, was produced in limited numbers especially for the anniversary year. The 120 x 170 cm carpet is therefore a rarity and costs 99 euros.
In addition, there are now hoodies and T-shirts in the anniversary design. Both garments are available in sizes S to XXL and can be ordered from now until the end of May at the Tourist Information Office. The gray hoodie with the anniversary logo costs 64.95 euros, the white T-shirt with the anniversary logo costs 39.90 euros.
Also available is a jigsaw puzzle with a popular motif from the Gütersloh Botanical Gardens. Photographer Detlef Güthenke has skillfully staged the white circular bench around the globe maple. The puzzle consists of 500 pieces and costs 12.90 euros.

To mark the city's 200th anniversary, the Friedrich Amtenbrink Steel Service Center has also come up with its own anniversary project: the Gütersloh skyline made of steel in four different versions. Painted black or made of Corten steel, all versions show the Gütersloh skyline with landmarks such as the theater, the town hall and the water tower. All versions are also suitable for outdoor use. The simple silhouette made of Corten steel costs 59 euros, the detailed skyline made of black painted structural steel costs 179 euros and the other versions cost 115 euros. Due to their size and weight, the skylines must be collected from Amtenbrink's head office after ordering via Gütersloh Marketing. Samples can be viewed at the Tourist Information Office.
The anniversary drinks from Schenke, the limited-edition anniversary wine glass, a cloth bag, a magnet, a pin and a set of sticky notes, each printed with the 200th anniversary logo, are also available from Gütersloh Marketing's tourist information office.
Anniversary manhole cover now available to order
In February, around 50 regular manhole covers in the city center were replaced with manhole covers in the anniversary design, which will be a long-term tribute to the city's anniversary. The sustainable project was the brainchild of the city's drainage employees and was widely discussed online. At the same time, the city received numerous inquiries from business owners and private individuals who were interested in purchasing a jubilee manhole cover for their own property.
The gtm is responding to this demand: the anniversary manhole covers can now be pre-ordered at the Gütersloh Marketing (gtm) tourist information office until June 6 at a binding price of 279 euros. Only if at least 40 manhole covers have been sold by the deadline will they be produced. The purchase price is due when the order is placed and the manhole covers cannot be exchanged. Buyers receive a certificate which, together with the receipt, entitles them to collect the manhole cover. If the required minimum quantity is not reached, all buyers will receive their money back. The anniversary manhole cover is a class B cover with a test load of 12.5 tons. This means that it can be driven over by a car and is therefore suitable for sidewalks, pedestrian zones, car parking areas and car parking decks. The weight of the cover is around 35.5 kg, so collection directly from the Gütersloh building yard is planned. Interested parties can also compare the dimensions with the drawing provided. The drawing is available from the gtm tourist information office or as a download (see right).
