On the occasion of the 60th birthday of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Gütersloh journalist Markus Corsmeyer documented the development of Gütersloh from 1949 to the present day: from reconstruction through the wild 1960s to the redesign of Gütersloh's city center. He illustrates the history with many photos, explains the connections with the help of timelines and thus makes it easier to classify the local or regional history in that of the FRG.
Gütersloh City Coffee
Gütersloh City Coffee is a Yigarcheffe Mocha from a smallholder cooperative in Ethiopia. The fairly traded, spicy-tasting coffee is freshly roasted weekly by the Schenke roasting company. Not only the taste, but also the packaging with the Gütersloh skyline are convincing. Stadtkaffee is available ground in a 250-gram package.
About the origin of the coffee: Yirgacheffe is a town in southwestern Ethiopia. It is located east of Lake Abaya and Nechisar National Park and is the capital of the Woreda Yirgacheffe within the Gedeo Zone in the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region.

It depicts the spherical maple and the circular bench surrounding it, which together form the landmark of the Gütersloh Botanical Garden. The Täschken is a reusable bag that consists of 100% recycled PET bottles (polyethylene terephthalate) and can even be returned to the recovery cycle itself - it is fully recyclable.
