Description

The second book on the city's history was published in 2025 to mark the city's 200th anniversary as one of the 200 anniversary highlights. It covers the city's history after the Second World War up to 2025. The articles compiled by editor Christoph Lorke shed light on Gütersloh's multifaceted history.

A collaboration between the Department of Culture, the Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL Institute for Westphalian Regional History) and the Research Center for Contemporary History in Hamburg (academic institution at the University of Hamburg).
