The city park with its idyllic botanical garden is an insider tip for Gütersloh residents as well as visitors. The green living room celebrated its 111th anniversary in 2020.

Daniela Toman, Larissa Lakämper and Monika Geißler are not only park guides. As landscape architects, members and also chairwomen of the Förderkreis Stadtpark, they bring with them an enormous amount of knowledge about the history of the park from its beginnings in 1909 to the present day and know a lot about the importance of the natural idyll for people and animals in Gütersloh.

The park guide Barbara Weidler was already as a child with her parents walking in the Botanical Garden. Today she would like to show visitors not only information about the history of the park and its significance as a natural monument, but also the little things that one sometimes passes by during a walk. Therefore, in addition to the general guided tour, she is doing a "witch herbs" themed tour.
