Once again this year, the winter lights will illuminate the popular shopping street in the evening hours on Mittlerer Berliner Straße. Gütersloh Marketing has had the elaborate light installation installed every year since 2015 on behalf of Immobilien- und Standortgemeinschaft Mittlere Berliner Straße e. V. (ISG).
The winter light, consisting of numerous light curtains with more than 40,000 LED lights, originates from a project by the ISG Mittlere Berliner Straße association in 2015. The light curtains, each around ten meters wide, were selected with the aim of illuminating the street in an atmospheric way during the dark season and thus making a visit to the city centre more enjoyable for passers-by. In the evening hours, the winter light creates the impression of a starry night sky. At Christmas time, it will again be supplemented by an illuminated picture frame as a photo point where visitors to the city center can take photos of themselves and their loved ones.
