Wall Painting at the ZOB

Gütersloh Marketing beautifies ZOB

Colorful wall painting by Maik Enge

The central bus station (ZOB) in Gütersloh will shine in new splendor in November: with the support of McDonald's, Gütersloh Marketing (gtm) has commissioned a creative wall painting in Strengerstraße, which will be completed in a few days. Advertising painter Maik Enge developed a motif for it that takes up the themes of mobility, urban life and Gütersloh sights in keeping with the surroundings. The wall painting is intended to make the area more welcoming and inviting for travelers, schoolchildren, commuters and visitors to the city centre.

„The beautification of the ZOB is part of our ongoing efforts to make the city center area more attractive and liveable,“ explains Clara Abelmann, Head of City and Tourism Management at Gütersloh Marketing. „With projects like the historically designed electricity boxes last year or the Gütersloh Spring Street Art Festival, we are showing how art and creativity can be brought into the city center.“ The idea for the beautification campaign came about as part of the center management.
