Description
The Dalke is the blue ribbon that gives our city beautiful, idyllic islands, floodplains and wetlands in a green landscape. This illustrated book goes on a discovery tour along the Dalke in 126 pictures spread over 108 pages, but also describes how the extensive renaturation process gave rise to Gütersloh's green islands in the first place. The impressive images were taken by Gütersloh photographer Detlef Güthenke, and the texts were written by Susanne Zimmermann (City of Gütersloh). The illustrated book was edited by Matthias Borner, a Gütersloh veteran and connoisseur of Westphalia.
